Day 13.
posted in Heza Fast Traveler |Well I was told that days 10-15 (and in some cases later) were the days to watch for a serious downhill trend. However, so far so good. I hate to say this, but I kind of have been waiting for/expecting some worsening effects, but haven’t seen anything drastic yet. He’s still eating good, there’s no leaning (like Victory), and tho he’s very unbalanced, it’s still mostly in his hind end. Unfortunately, then, there’s no indication that he’s getting better with the Marquis. I need serious prayers. I need my boy back. I know I may never be able to ride him again, and I’m prepared for that, but I certainly don’t want that. I want to lope through fields with him bareback again. I want to show everyone just how FAST he is once we get the barrel pattern down. It’s killing me to watch him wobble around the pasture, not knowing for sure if it’s EPM or not. Granted, the vet did say I would doubt my decision the first 2-3 weeks, and everyone else says there’s no real improvement until after the first box. I just have to figure out where I’m going to get the money for the second box. I’ll try getting videos/pics of Trav’s progress, but it’s been raining the past 3 days.
